Notes: While writing this, I followed the Tolkien's books and the two movies and made up a few things as well. My timeline does not coincide with the books, only to try to keep things short! I hope the translations are correct, if not please email me so I can make any necessary repairs. I hope to add drawings soon, having just moved I will need some time. I hope you enjoy my first fan fic I've ever written, please let me know what you think! This fan fic was also part of the www.haldir-lives.org Fan Fic Challenge.
They were all on the move again within an hour. Legolas talked Gimli into riding with Jelena. "It will be the last time you have to ride for a while," he said. "We will be there by early afternoon." He couldn't help but admire how beautiful Jelena looked in her new gown. She had her hair tied back, revealing the dipping neckline and smooth white skin.
Jelena caught his glance and smiled at him. Something bumped into her leg. She turned and found an elf riding next to her, staring. She looked him in the eyes and shivered. His irises were such a light color of blue they were almost white. He had a shifty grin on his face.
"Excuse me, my lady," he said. "My horse seems to have a mind of his own." His eyes left her face and glanced down at her breasts. The corner of his mouth twitched. He nodded to Jelena and rode ahead. Jelena felt like he knew what she looked like without her clothes on. A chill ran down her spine.
Legolas' eyes burned into the back of Maeldir. He moved his horse closer to Jelena and touched her arm. She turned to him with frightened look on her face. "Gimli, can you take Arod the rest of the way?" Before Gimli could answer, Legolas reached over and put his arm around Jelena's waist and pulled her onto the saddle in front of him. He kept one arm tight around her and set his horse into a gallop. His father, Celeborn and Galadriel were up ahead. Maeldir was riding behind Thranduil. Legolas passed by him, giving him a sharp look over his shoulder. "I am going to ride ahead, Father, and make sure that everything has been set up for our guests." They galloped off once more towards the Elvenking's Halls.
It was midday when they reached the elven city. Its inhabitants came out of their homes at the sound of hooves. They watched the stranger and the prince pass, most bowing as they rode by. Legolas rode past Jelena's grandparents' dwelling and slowed a bit when they neared. Her uncle, Dornion was standing outside.
Dornion looked at the girl sitting in front of Legolas and smiled. He could see his brother, Maerdir, in her features. Jelena returned his smile. "Good day, young miss; Prince Legolas," he said, bowing. He came forward to talk to the riders when Giliathien slammed the door behind her. She stared hard at the two for a moment, then turned and went back inside. Another male elf was peering out of a window at them. Jelena recognized their eyes.
"That was my father's mother, wasn't she? And my grandfather at the window?" Legolas nodded and kept riding. Jelena peered behind Legolas to the elf that stood by the door. "And what about him? Who is he?"
"That is your father's brother, Dornion." Jelena looked back one more time to see her uncle smile and bow before turning to go inside. Jelena looked at Legolas. He was clenching his teeth.
"It is all right, Legolas," she said, running her hand down the side of his face. "I am beginning to understand that you are a unique elf in Eryn Lasgalen. They all need to take an example from you on manners." She snuggled into the comfort of Legolas' chest. Tears threatened to choke her but she refused to let them come. She was not going to let these elves break her. Not after everything she had been through.
Soon they came to a vast river that ran through the city. On the other side there was a hill. They went across the bridge to the gates that blocked the tunnel's entrance. A guard took their horse and they walked through the gates. They entered the tunnel, which was lit with many torches. The walls were embedded with many crystals and gems that refracted the light in beautiful colors and patterns. It was unexpectedly bright for being inside a cave. They walked about 300 feet when the tunnel bent to the left. Another 100 feet after that a tunnel went off to the right. They turned down this tunnel and came to a immense cavern. There were pillars carved out of stone and a throne at the other side.
"This is my father's Hall," Legolas said, unimpressed. They walked through the hall and came to another tunnel. This opened up into another cavern, but this one was set up with many long tables. Many servants were setting plates, glasses and bowls of fruit at each table. "And these are the Upper Halls. My father will throw his feasts here. I just need to check with the head servant to make sure that everything is going as planned." He sat her down at one of the tables and grabbed an apple. He tossed it to her and with a wink he disappeared through a large archway.
Jelena took a bite. She smiled to herself, never having tasted anything like it before. "What is this called?" she asked the servant nearest to her. The servant ignored her and proceeded to walk away. "Excuse me! I am speaking to you! I asked you a question!" Jelena stomped up to the she-elf and stood in her way, tapping her foot waiting for an answer.
"It is an apple," she said, with an air of superiority about her.
"Thank you!" Jelena said. "Now you may go back to what you were doing." Jelena stepped aside to let her pass, wanting so bad to stick out her foot and trip the ill-mannered she-elf. She looked about the room, the other servants giving her dirty looks. She wished that Legolas was with her. Since he was not, she straightened her back and returned their looks.
"Is something wrong?" said Legolas when he came back.
"Nothing a good kick in the pants wouldn't cure!"
Legolas gave her a suspicious look. "Did something happen while I was gone?" Jelena shook her head. Legolas took her by the hand. "Come with me! I have a surprise for you!"
They went through Thranduil's Hall back to the passageways. They made a right turn and walked several yards going deeper underground. They came to the end of the tunnel and made a left. "How do you keep from getting lost in here?" Jelena asked. She had lost her bearings some time ago. Legolas just smiled. The air was getting humid. They went through an archway into a small cavern filled with water.
"Bath?" Legolas asked, pointing to the water.
A bath! Jelena was dying to wash off the grime from traveling and to rid herself of the sore muscles from riding. "Oh, yes!" They went inside to the stone benches that had drying cloths and soap on them. Legolas sat down and kicked off his boots and removed his tunic and began to unbraid his hair. Jelena loosened the ties on her gown.
"You go in first," Legolas said, turning his back to give Jelena some privacy. She quickly removed her gown and went down the steps into the pool. She sank into the water, delighting in its coolness. Jelena's breath caught in her throat. Legolas stood at the edge; his lightly tanned skin seemed to glow from the water's reflection. He dove into the water and came up on the other side. He dipped his head back into the water to pull his hair from his face. He smiled at Jelena and swam towards her. He is absolutely beautiful! she thought to herself.
"How do you feel?" Legolas asked.
"Wonderful! This is just what I needed!" Jelena sank under the water to get her hair wet. She took the soap and scrubbed her head. The soap smelled like rosemary.
"Let me help." Legolas stood behind her and took the soap from Jelena's hand. He rubbed it into her hair, his fingers massaging her scalp. He piled her curls on top of her head and gave it a good scrubbing. "Put your head back." She sank into the water and Legolas scrubbed the soap out. His eyes wandered to her face. Her expression was of pure bliss. "Now it is my turn," he said, crouching down in the water so she could reach the top of his head.
Jelena took the soap from him and began to lather. Even with Legolas crouching in the water she had a hard time reaching the top of his head without standing on her toes. She leaned into him, her breasts pressed against his back. His skin was warm and smooth. Jelena felt a fluttering in her stomach. Her nipples grew hard and sensitive from the touch of his skin. She ran her fingers through length of his hair. Her fingers brushed against the tips of his ears, bringing a moan from Legolas' throat.
The feel of her bare breasts against his back made his skin tingle. He wanted to feel her pressed up against the front of him, where he could look in her eyes and let her see how much he desired her. He imagined what it would be to take a nipple into his mouth and tease it with his tongue. He wanted to explore every inch of her body and watch her face as he brought her pleasure.
"Legolas? You can rinse now," Jelena said. He dove under the water and came up on the other side. Jelena suddenly grew cold from the loss of contact with his warm body and began to shiver. She made her way towards the steps. She quickly got out of the water and grabbed a towel off the bench. But not quick enough. Legolas got an eyeful.
She was still a bit too thin but was beautiful nonetheless. She was nicely curved with a lovely backside. Legolas got a glimpse of one of her breasts and a pink nipple. Jelena wrapped herself in a large towel and sat on a bench. She dried her hair with another towel and wrapped it around her head. Legolas got out of the water and wrapped a towel about his waist. He picked up a comb and pulled the towel off Jelena's head and began to work out the knots. She sat and let him work with her hair, enjoying the feel of his hands working on her. He pulled it into a loose ponytail and put a leather wrap in it. He handed the comb to Jelena. She combed his hair back from his face into a ponytail as well and tied it.
"I'll take you to your room now so you can get dressed," Legolas said, taking her hand and helping her to her feet. He led her out into the passageway and went a short distance. There were doorways on either side of the passage. He opened the door to her room, which was brightly lit with many candles. There was a large bed to directly across from the door and a dressing table and closet to the right of the bed. There was a doorway in the other wall. Legolas opened the closet to reveal a couple of gowns for her. One was a rose color and the other a soft reddish-brown color.
"Thank you for taking such good care of me," she said, standing on her toes to reach up and give him a kiss. She kissed him on the mouth, nothing more than a peck. His lips were hot and a surge through her body. She hugged him, pressing her face against his chest. Legolas returned the embrace, wanting to feel her kiss again. He hugged her tighter, lifting her from the floor and making her giggle.
"If you need anything, I will be next door." Jelena felt disappointed that she would have a room of her own. He walked across to the other doorway and opened the door. They had joining rooms. "Get dressed. I will be back shortly. The others will be arriving soon."
Jelena took the rose dress to the bed and tried to sit down. The bed was high. She took off her towel and hopped up. It had a thick feather mattress and soft, silky covers. She pulled her dress over her head and slid down to the floor. It fit perfectly. How Legolas knew her size, she did not know. She would need help with the laces as they were in the back. She knocked on the door.
"Come in."
Jelena opened the door to find Legolas standing there lacing up tight black leather leggings. A moan almost escaped her lips. "Could you please give me a hand?"
Legolas looked up from his laces at the beauty that stood before him. The dress fit her well. The sleeves were long and full and the neckline dipped low. It was form fitting over her breasts then flared out with a small train. "You look exquisite," he said. He turned her around and pulled the laces tight. It pressed against her breasts, making them bulge and gave her lots of cleavage. She looked down and her cheeks flushed. "Like I said, you look exquisite," he said, lifting her chin. He put on a light blue tunic and his boots and began braiding his hair. Jelena braided the other side. He took her hand and they went to go greet the soon to be arriving elves.
